Science Meets Heart

What is heart coherence?

With daily scientific discoveries validating ancient spiritual practices, even our analytical brain can be satisfied. Thousands of performed studies by Heart Math, Deepak Chopra, Joe Dispenza and other organizations, prove heart coherence reveals our super human powers. One of our greatest powers is to recognize our wholeness and therefore access our ability to heal.

To experience being human is to experience duality. Most humans (if not all) are familiar with feeling separate. To be human is to have a brain, and thoughts separate; dark and light, good and bad … you know, comparison.

When we are lost in our thoughts, plans, worries and anxieties we are living in the story. We are dreaming a dream of stories told generations over. When we are in a ‘worst-case scenario’, anticipatory state of living, we are in the survival mode of fight, flight or freeze. Although this critter brain protection is a very useful for protecting our physical safety, overuse of our reactive sympathetic nervous system drains our vital life force.

Aversions and attractions are fed by our subconscious mind

Like a super-computer, our mind runs a program. This program is known as the subconscious mind. The mind is the energy field all around the body which stores our subconscious belief system including the brain’s programming years from age 1-7 established by observing our caretakers and those around us.

Without us even realizing it, the programmed mind drives much of our day-to-day behavior. If we live from a place of aversions and attractions we are often in an incoherent state.

The programmed brain has built-in instincts to protect us. We can appreciate our ego as a protector and our brain is very useful.

However, most of us were born into a world where people are living the story of separateness. We were taught to do everything we can to control our happiness, verses, how to trust and surrender to the natural state of joy. Identified as a separate entity (aka the ego) traversing a world of the ‘survival of the fittest’, we were taught life is a struggle and requires lots of doing.

Were you taught it was you against the world?

Were you taught God was outside and separate from you?

If we are looking outside of ourselves for our wholeness, how could we not be confused and think we are separate?

Incoherence is at play when we are identifying as being separate

Have you noticed how challenging, exhausting and overwhelming it can feel when we think and feel we are alone in the Universe? It doesn’t have to be!

Heart connected is our source of wellbeing

Have you experienced the unity of love? If you have you have felt how our body and our life force thrives when our brain surrenders to the wisdom of the heart.

When we live from a place of heart centeredness, we are living in alignment with The True Self, Higher Self, Soul, Spirit, Largest Self - all words to call the WHOLE BEING - which we are.

The best part is, when we are in alignment with heart we feel good! Alignment with our heart is a win-win. We can stop ‘trying’ to be happy and just be.

 DOES COHERENCE of HEART HEAL?

Absolutely! We have all seen how our body naturally knows how to heal itself. However, we need proper time resting in a parasympathetic nervous system, rest and repair, state for proper repair.

Sleep is important. When we sleep, we stop over thinking, we stop doing, we even let go of identifying as a separate self. When we sleep we are just BEING. While we rest, we let go of resistance and allow our body to connect fully to our natural wellness. During sleep is typically when the body heals and grows.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO HEAL
WHILE AWAKE?

Leading studies continue to scientifically prove, it’s not only possible to let go of our problem-solving, programmed way of living while awake - it is also possible to live more of our day-to-day life in a relaxed parasympathetic state. Humanity is learning how to heal our autonomic nervous systems. There are many tools available and the easiest (and free) tool available is conscious breathing.

Alignment with our true self feels like ease, expansiveness, exhilaration, appreciation, compassion, joy… AMORE!

What is dis-ease? It’s being out of balance with our ease.

When we are living in a connected coherent state, we active our body’s rest and repair, parasympathetic nervous system, state. This is where we rejenerate, rejuvenate and self-heal.

Integrating heart and brain as a team unlocks a greater potential and invites deep satisfaction

Joe Dispenza’s group and others have documented instantaneous healings experienced by coming into a coherent state - while awake.

Regular folks are trained on how to obtain a receptive state in mediation. Since our natural (not always normal) state is ease, when heart coherence is experienced, the body naturally returns to it’s natural state of ease.

Just like some illness is contagious, healing appears to be contagious as well. In a group healing session, after a person shares they had a miraculous spontaneous healing, many others in the audience respond with an instantaneous healing of their own. Once we believe, anything is possible.

We are physically designed to live in coherence with the earth, each other and our whole being. Our body is meant to match the frequency of the earth. When heart coherency is established the frequency of heart is matched with the frequency of the earth.

HOW do we live from a heart coherent state?

Heart coherency sounds like a good plan but why is it so hard to just trust and be?

It’s a practice of surrendering the thought and being honest with our feelings. It’s a moment to moment practice. There are many tools available to help us connect inwards while embodied in the human form.

Do you know you have a key to unlock coherence? The ruby slippers are ready to take you home any moment you choose. Home where you feel connected, aligned, safe, whole, well, and one! Greater focus, clarity, purpose, knowing, trust, ease and miracles are all available.

Right in the center of your alive and breathing body is your heart and the 4th chakra energy center; pumping both blood and life force through your physical temple and energetic bio-field.

Breathing helps bring us into the moment.

Four great words to use to hone in and stoke the fire of the heart:

GRATITUDE
COMPASSION
CARE
APPPRECIATION

Envisioned breathing through the heart, while focused on the heightened feelings stimulated by the above words can activate the heart center immediately.

Want to try right now?

This can be done with eyes open or closed, which is super cool because we can practice publicly in the challenging moments without anyone taking note.

For now, you could read line by line as you tune in with closed eyes in between.

Ok let us try live action now. I will do it with you.

Take a few deep breaths. Relax the body.

Allow yourself to just feel, whatever it is. Keep breathing as the energy moves through your body. This step may take a few breaths depending on how you had been feeling before starting.

Then, when you feel relaxed into the moment, feel into your heart. Again, keep breathing as energy is moving. Sometimes there may be some stagnant energy in the heart. Take your time on this step to insure the energy feels free to move.

Next, pick one of the above heart stimulating words and while breathing, activate the energy within the heart. (You can try all the words and see which works easiest for you).

Continue directing your attention to the heightened emotional awareness within your heart. Each breath is an opportunity to refocus on the growing energy.

With practice this coherent breath becomes easier and more natural.

Here’s a personal tip- if you’re having a hard time, the appreciation or gratitude might feel too far of a reach to authentically feel. Compassion comes in great here. Have compassion for how you’re feeling. Don’t try to change the way you feel. Allow it. See your challenged self through the eyes of love, like you would your very best friend. Then, like you would treat a good friend, be gentle and kind. Witness yourself without identifying. The practice of self-compassion connects us with HEART. Breathing, the rest eventually fades away.

Where you taught to listen to your heart; or to follow your joy and see where it takes you?

Let’s practice together, allowing the body to do what it does naturally, to heal from the state of being whole.

By choosing moment to moment, we can listen and follow our greatest joy.

Let’s live our fullest expression!
